Each web server is a 2.4Ghz quad-CPU Xeon machine, with 4GB of RAM, and a massive 1 terabyte RAID 5 disk array with hot-swappable drives and a hot spare. All servers sit behind a firewall and Intrusion Detection System specifically tuned to detect and prevent Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
Our hardware consists of the highest quality components from top manufacturers: Intel, Foundry, F5, and Cisco. They are industry standard bearers and we're pleased to use them.
The network counts. If the network is unstable or if bandwidth is unavailable you'd be dead in the water. All machines are hosted in a world-class data center. Backbone connectivity ranges from OC12 to OC192 connections, allowing us to scale our bandwidth as needed. We have several peering arrangements, which allows our network to be fully adaptable, redundant, and intelligent. Our one hop infrastructure allows us to deliver a high level of availability and fast Internet response for both domestic and international traffic.
The data center is designed for maximum uptime, with fully redundant systems engineered to limit exposure to any particular problem. This includes continuous power supplies, diesel backup systems, VESDA, FireMaster fire suppression, dry-pipe zoning, controlled air temperature and humidity, and of course redundant connections to the internet.
